Hair removal with wax or sugar.
You can be more sensitive when you are pregnant, and hair removal can therefore be more painful.
However, few pregnant women notice a difference.
On the other hand, it’s really nice to have hair removal done professionally, as you may be physically bothered by your stomach.

Our brand CND & GelBottle Inc™ does not discourage pregnant women from getting shellac, gel polish or gel nails done with their products.

What pregnant women are often nervous about is acetone.
When you need to remove shellac / gel polish again, it must be done with acetone.
We wrap the nails in acetone and you sit for just 10 minutes.
Acetone does not penetrate the skin, and it is limited how many vapors you get, as the nails are wrapped.

If you want to avoid acetone, we recommend getting gel nails done.
When you want a refill, we will simply file off excess gel and refill with new gel.
If you want the gel nails removed again, this is done with acetone once.

Neither the Danish Health Authority nor the Environmental Protection Agency prohibits the use of nail polish during pregnancy, but it is recommended that you use as little cosmetics and perfume as possible.

Eyelash and eyebrow tinting
You can have both eyebrows and eyelashes colored while you are pregnant, if you wish, we can put Vaseline on the skin around the eye and around the eyebrow, so you 100% avoid color on the skin.

Lash lift

When we perform a lash lift, the product does NOT hit the skin, but only the lash hair.
The only thing that hits the skin is the water-based glue we use.

PREGNANCY AND LASH LIFT & BROW LAMINATION
Ellebana says: Pregnancy, breastfeeding, taking birth control pills or HRT and also some thyroid (low metabolism) or hormone altering treatments are not contraindicated for brow lamination or Lash lift.

However, it’s important that you as a customer remember to inform about the above, as they can cause the lamination treatment to not work as well due to the hormonal changes in the body.

We have tested lash lifting/lamination products on both pregnant and breastfeeding women for years with good results on a large percentage of women. And only a few have experienced a smaller lift than they were used to, so we can say that the treatment is safe for both pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is important for the pregnant woman to take into account that if she reacts to either the lash or brow lamination treatment or a lash/brow tint, she may not be able to take medication/antihistamines to alleviate the reaction. This is why we do not recommend doing a brow lamination or tint on a customer who has not previously had a brow lamination with Elleeplex or a brow tint with Elleeplex Profusion/Belmacil Lash and Brow Tint until after pregnancy and breastfeeding. If a customer has previously had lifts or laminations and tinting with these products without side effects, we recommend that you do not perform treatments in the first trimester.
